Minchinhampton 2 (28 v 69) Westbury-on-Severn RFC

TMinch 28 Westbury on Severn RFC 69

Westbury made the trip up to Minch this Saturday coming away with a great win

The game started with West on the front foot with Harry Janneh getting over the white wash scoring the first of four tries in a very successful game, breaking tackle after tackle running from his own half his other two in a similar Jonah Lomu fashion. The second try from Paul Reddan (sponsored by the Chairman Simon Roberts) came off from some astute forwards play from Max Kaufmann sponsored by The Lyon Inn and Rory Pritchard sponsored by Forge Motorsport with Paul dotting down in the corner. Some brilliant phase play resulted in Harry’ second. Robbie Pritchard sponsored by Five Acres FastFit Tyres & Exhausts broke from his own half to score his third. The rugby continued to flow with Will Lord’s try (sponsored @MH Bricklayers). Captain Max Kaufmann skipped through to cap off an amazing performance. Theo first half ended with score of 45-14.

Second half saw arguably too much joue with small errors creeping in, allowing for Minchinhampton’s grit and determination to shine through. A final try for Harry Janneh in his usual barnstorming fashion. A hat trick for James Cowell finished off a vintage performance.

Hats of for Minchinhampton for hosting us and never giving up. One rest week and then on to the famous veterans match on the 23rd November.

Some stand out performances from Harry Janneh and Shay Lewis given MOTM, with special shout outs from Will Lord and Rory Pritchard.
